M42 - Orion Nebula - 141125st

Wider field of region around the Orion Nebula (M42), re-processed using the new StarTools software with a Photoshop finish. I'm pretty impressed with the detail it can draw out without overdoing it (the previous image is a bit too crispy) as well as the noise reduction algorithm. The color balance seems to be a bit off, looking more like my old unmodified images without the H-Alpha lines. Still, I like it so thought I'd leave it as-is.

Stack of 72 ten-minute subs (12 hours of exposures!) with 36 one-minute subs for the core.

Taken using my newly replaced Celestron Nightscape on my Astro-Tech AT-80LE with the Astro-Tech field flattener, using the 11" EdgeHD as the mount and guide scope.
