So after a number of months of serving me well, I was putting my tripod away and just happened to catch the spreader from the bottom and snapped one arm off of it. This was the only direction that didn't have a reinforcement to the center, so while it was plenty strong under downward load (i.e. when in use) it didn't take much in the upward direction to break it. Time to improve upon the last design. |
