Attempting to compare the two sensors. It's a bit blurry, but you can see how much bigger the new IMX178 sensor is compared to the MT9M034 sensor in the QHY5L-II.
The distance from the tube front appears the same, so adjusting the confocal ring on the new camera to the same distance should make for a direct swap. Worked out pretty well. |
