Cutting Rail Cap Plates

I'd originally planned to just put small pieces inside the rail to brace it and pull the rail in to butt up against the wood, but decided that a single cap piece would give me better chances to weld it solid and probably be stronger overall than the two partial pieces. You can see all the slag on the back side after I was done.
