Celestron Motofocus Rebuild
This focus motor was always too long for the Celestron 8SE so that it hits the base when the scope approaches zenith. I'd trimmed some of the plastic off the shaft adapter and the mount so that it barely cleared, but it still would occasionally catch on the cables and would rub against the surface. In addition, the entire mounting tube had split at the set screw (thus the electrical tape to hold it together) such that the screw would slip and limit the ability to clamp it. I decided to trim the shaft adapter further and print a new mounting tube, giving me about a quarter inch of clearance.
