M74 Galaxy

Messier 74 (also known as the Phantom Galaxy) is a large face-on spiral galaxy with two clearly defined spiral arms galaxy, located in the equatorial constellation Pisces. It is about 32 million light-years away from Earth and hosts about 100 billion stars.

This stack of 41 five-minute exposures were taken from December 30th, 2024- January 2nd, 2025 using my QHY247C on my Celestron Edge HD C11 with the 0.7x focal reducer. The image was processed in PixInsight with masking help and final touchup in Photoshop.
