Clamping First Cross Member
Clamping the first cross member into place. I'd originally cut two pieces at 188.5" ( the rail center-to-center), so I needed to trim a quarter inch off for the rail web anyway, as well as chamfering edges to clear welds and the curved inside edge of the rail, but when I went back and measured those rails, they were about 3/32 too long! Presumably, that's the thermal expansion/contraction I'll have to deal with between the cold day I was originally working with an the 80 degree day when I did this.
