The Mystery of the Bicycle

This bicycle was based on a sketch found in Leonardo's Madrid Codex, but Leonardo probably didn't draw it. No one knows who drew it, but perhaps it was done by a student copying his master's design, or perhaps it is a later forgery. In any case, bicycles didn't appear until the 19th century, making this drawing a tantalizing mystery.
