So THAT's the Big Dipper!
Eddie trying to illustrate the location of the Big Dipper behind the building using his laser pointer. The "pointer stars" at the cup end of the Big Dipper point towards the North Star, Polaris.
We also appear to have lucked into catching the flare of a meteorite streaking past Kochab, the red star in the outer corner of the little dipper. It's a bit uniform for a meteor, but the adjacent photos don't show anything and there's no evidence of flashing lights, so while it could be a plane, I can't prove it one way or the other.
