Observatory Rail System Disintegration and Reconstruction

With the hot summer of 2023 I discovered that the V-groove wheels of my roll-off roof were riding up on the angle iron rails that had warped somewhat in the heat. While inspecting the rail system, I discovered that the braces and a large part of the middle post had rotted away under the paint! The rest of the rail system was still in good shape, so I made temporary fixes that lasted me a couple of years, but in Fall of 2025, the roof bound up on the sun damaged and rotting top cap and I decided it was time for an upgrade and replacement. This will show my process replacing everything with steel.
