Swapping Piers
Since I'm doing more photography than visual observing these days (and not much of either with the weather) I decided to swap piers and move the new CGE Pro to the south pier so that I only have to open the observatory part way for photography and the north half remains covered to minimize dew impact, etc. My original reasons for having the photography setup on the north pier was to support extreme southern objects like the Omega cluster, but since I never seem to catch anything like that, and it's still far too low, I decided it wasn't worth the trouble to keep it on the north pier. Of course I still need my pier plate to actually mount the CGE Pro ON the pier!
