Belt of Orion - 160103

This 200 mm wide field shot of the vicinity of Orion's belt, shows the three belt stars Alnitak, Alnilam, and Mintaka, in the constellation of Orion. This wide field includes a number of impressive nebulae, including IC 434, Barnard 33 - The Horsehead Nebula, and NGC 2024 - The Flame Nebula, near the star Alnitak. It also catches the Messier 78 (NGC 2068) reflection nebula as well as NGC 2064, NGC 2067, at the lower right corner.

This is a stack of 45 ten-minute frames taken with my Celestron Nightscape with my Sigma/Nikon lens set to 200 mm, stacked in DSS and post processed in Photoshop.
