Replacement GPS Development

The GPS on my 11" NexStar GPS quit working, but rather than buying an expensive replacement from Celestron I decided to spend a few bucks to make one from an Arduino and GPS module. Unfortunately the projects out there don't quite document the way things work so I had to do a bit of research and development which I'll be documenting here.

I also decided to make add the same modification to my NexStar 8SE so I now have an internal GPS there as well.
